Membership – Welcome
Welcome!
We are so very glad that you have chosen to support the Hillsborough Historical Society. The Society is very active and we’d love to have you visit the museum and see all that we have to offer.
- Hillsborough Heritage Museum, 5 Central St Hillsborough (between Butler Park and the post office.) Open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9ish – noon. We feature rotating displays about Hillsborough’s past and people.
- Hillsboroughhistory.org– Learn about us, read stories from our newsletter, visit our gift shoppe, and, included with your membership, enjoy access to our famous Manahan-Phelps-McCullough (MPM) photo collection, viewing thousands of images. (See instructions below.)
- Collections– Hillsborough Historical Society is home to several wonderful collections: milk bottles; band music; tools; ephemera; photos and more!
- 250th Celebration- The Hillsborough Historical Society is supporting the events of the 250th celebration committee by providing historical information and pictures for all events.
- History Alive– Join us in August for our annual historical event! Entry fee applies.

Go to the RESOURCES tab, then click MPM. Click on the blue link, then SEARCH, and finally click LEARN MORE which will take you to the photo collection. Add a bookmark!
*1st time users must enter the username and password provided on the back of your membership card. You will then be asked to create an account using your email. We ask that you please not share the 2022 username and password. Memberships are an important part our revenue, and help us fulfill our mission to preserve and educate the public about Hillsborough’s history and contributions. Thank you!
